Luqman bin Mazlan was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2014 and has been an ever-present in the legal sphere since. Well-regarded by his peers for his top-notch professionalism and know-how, Luqman is an astute legal practitioner in the areas of Criminal Justice and Human Rights, Commercial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, Preventive Detention and Constitutional Law.
He completed his pupilage with Messrs. Shamsuddin & Co in 2013 and subsequently joined Messrs. Skrine in 2014, before returning to Messrs. Shamsuddin & Co as an Associate in 2015. Most recently, Luqman was a Partner at Norizan & Associates before setting up Luqman Iswatt & Partners in 2022.
In 2017, Luqman was selected as one of the assisting Counsel representing Rohingya Refugees at the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal (PPT) in relation to the alleged war crimes committed by the Myanmar Government against the Rohingyas and other ethnic groups in the country.
